Mark Lamer, P.E.
Principal Engineer
Mark is a licensed civil engineer with 20 years of experience throughout Arizona. As an engineering professor at Northern Arizona University (NAU), Marks knowledge of modern engineering techniques are complemented by his traditional work ethic. Known not only as a professor at NAU and the owner of Remal Consulting, LLC, Mark Lamer is known for his ongoing contribution to the American Society of Civil Engineers, at all levels. His free time is spent with his kids & wife, enjoying all the different activities & events to get involved in.

Mark has over 20 years of civil engineering experience, complemented by 12 years as Professor of Practice at NAU.
Taylor Layland, P.E.
Project Engineer
Taylor is a licensed civil engineer with experience throughout Northern Arizona. After graduating from NAU, Taylor has specialized in hydrology, hydraulics, and general site design. He has been a dedicated member to the American Society of Civil Engineers through his career. Outside of the office, you can find Taylor fishing in Alaska or exploring the water in Arizona!

Taylor has 14 years of experiencing specializing in public infrastructure and private development across Northern Arizona.
Eli Reisner, P.E.
Project Manager
Eli is an Arizona native who graduated with his degree in Civil Engineering from NAU. Eli has gained experience in different firms in Flagstaff, but joined Remal in 2024. He has enjoyed working on the design and construction administration of large-scale post wildfire flood mitigation projects for Coconino County and City of Flagstaff. Outside of the office, Eli focuses on making memories with his beautiful wife and two crazy boys, finding all that the great outdoors has to offer!

Eli has 15 years of experience, previously serving as the Senior Lead Capital Improvements Project Manager for the City of Flagstaff.
Elizabeth Tague
Associate Engineer
Lizzie is an environmental engineer with experience in heavy civil, residential design, water treatment and analysis, and drainage design since graduating from Northern Arizona University in 2017. Lizzie is affiliated with the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Arizona Floodplain Management Association. Recently, she made the choice to go back to school and earn a master's in civil engineering. Outside the office, Lizzie enjoys being in the outdoors and exploring her creative side through various crafts!

Lizzie has 8 years of experience in water, sewer, stormwater analysis, and emergency response.
Owen Allen, E.I.T.
Associate Engineer
Since graduating from NAU with his bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Owen has been at Remal Consulting. While at NAU, Owen completed two internships that gave him broad exposure to different areas of the field, also earning his Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. As an Associate Engineer, he contributes to both public infrastructure and private development projects. Outside the office, Owen enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family, making the most of Northern Arizona’s landscapes!

Owen has 3 years of experience and is the specialist in utility coordination, site grading, and construction administration.
Caroline Reed, E.I.T.
Engineer in Training
Caroline joined Remal as an EIT after graduating from NAU in 2024 with her master's in environmental engineering. During her master's, she spent time researching water quality and looks forward to applying that knowledge here. She enjoys contributing to drainage modeling and wastewater design at Remal. Caroline is affiliated with ASCE, enjoying her time being the University Chair for NAU. Outside of the office, Caroline is typically found biking or hiking in Northern Arizona - or travelling somewhere new!

Caroline has 2 years of experience focusing on stormwater, site assessments, and septic design.
Jessica Hillman, E.I.T.
Engineer Intern
Jessica is a current intern at Remal helping with all projects while completing graduate school at NAU. While doing her undergrad in Environmental Engineering at NAU, Jessica was the president of ASCE and heavily involved with other NAU activities. Outside of the office, Jessica is often found exploring the outdoors while hiking and learning about Arizona plants through gardening.

Jess has 1 year of experience in site assessments and drafting.
Theo Quax
Engineer Intern
Theo is a New Zealand native who came to Flagstaff, AZ to pursue academic and athletic goals at NAU. While being a student athlete, he was earned Academic All-American honors and the Golden Eagle award, reflecting his success in the classroom and track. At Remal, Theo has enjoyed gaining experience and contributing to all types of projects.

Theo has 2 years of experience in data analysis, plan development, and invoice review for construction projects.
