Rio de Flag Assessment

This project assessed changes made to the Rio de Flag, a FEMA mapped Floodway in Flagstaff. During this project, we surveyed the existing topographic conditions in this portion of the Rio de Flag channel and floodplain. Using updated topographic information, we updated the FEMA hydraulic model, modeled the existing conditions, and modeled the proposed conditions. Through these models, we were able to verify that no-rise happened through the removal of sediment from the Rio.
